To find the error, I used terminal to launch inkscape application, doing same case with create text and choose another tools, and there are going error again, in my terminal i am find the error message below:

I am find some bug report about this case here and there are many alternative to solve the problem, the result is different depend on machine  related. i am try to applied another trick to solve the crash problem, finally this is the succes trick to solve the inkscape crash ini my machine:

$ vim .bashrc

add this code at the bootom line

unset GTK_IM_MODULE XMODIFIERS

logout and the Inkscape can work well to text editing

next step is make update the system, by doing apt-get update

Another way is using Graphical user interfaces, by press button alt + F2 and then type gksu update-manager
the progress may be little longer, it’s because we get update packages from ppa launchpad, so we must be patient for it. After complete the update, we can installing the newest packages version by Install all update, including Pidgin IM.

GOCR is an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program, developed under the GNU Public License. It converts scanned images of text back to text files. Joerg Schulenburg started the program, and now leads a team of developers.
GOCR can be used with different front-ends, which makes it very easy to port to different OSes and architectures. It can open many different image formats, and its quality have been improving in a daily basis.

This appication is great to make read the document, we must familiar using terminal or console to make simple work, yeah it’s bertter than we used GUI for interface. The first step I’m doing is Install this GOCR in the lecturer Personal Computer, using feisty fawn, i assume that their source repository was old and not longer available and I added the repository from repo.ugm.

next step is using apt-get to install the GOCR


$ sudo apt-get install gocr

after the installation process, we prepare our document scanning, we can use .png or .pgm extension for our document, for detail information we can read the manual of GOCR by typing $man gocr in your console. in example, name of document which need to read is data.pgm and we start to convert and read the document. The put the document in home directory and we work on it. this is the simple way i used.

$ gocr -i [file.pgm|filepng] -o [outputfile]

this is the explanation:

-i file read input from file (or stdin if file is a single dash)
-o file send output to file instead of stdout

the output file we can use to next editing level, but the result are still need of repair by human.

This financial accounting using technical approch to help us managed our financial, we can make our postal recipts and split it into smaller part of income, we also allowed to make postal postal money expenditure and break down it into specific currency. The transactions such as the handover process of its money from one to another stuff and both already recorded. it’s simply for people haven’t backgrond ability in accounting.

the next step is format the new partition on reiserfs format

in my previous installation, i had swap partition on my machine, so i doesn't need create swap filesytem again. I have a little different from the original instructions from the official site. in the original instructions that use 2 partitions for file system and boot it, but for the installation I only use one file system.

idon't need lilo for boot loader, i prefer grub better than lilo (IMO), and the last. add the grub ubuntu configuration(on /dev/hda1) for this new installation:

root@bt~ # mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/ubuntu
root@bt~ # vim /boot/grub/menu.lst

and then i add the backtrack configuration:

Acara sesi pertama adalah Linux server security disampaikan oleh rifqi, materi yang menjadi pokok adalah aplikais iptables sebagai firewall untuk keamanan server, peserta yang mayoritas siswa sekolah menengah terlihat agak kerepotan dengan materi pertama yang mungkin terlalu berat, namun dengan pengertian dan diskusi dua arah semoga apa yang disampaikan bermanfaat sebagai tambahan informasi, khususnya firewall di linux server.

#2 Wireless hacking

Sesi kedua mengenai Wireless Hacking oleh Agung Nugroho, materi wireless hacking ini dirasa lebih menarik untuk peserta, apakah karena kata “hacking” nya..ya siapa tahu, anak muda seperti saya (dulu) suka akan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan seperti itu . Teknik hacking yang dipraktekkan menggunakan tool airmon-ng, aircrack, aircrack-ptw dll, OS yang dipakai adalah Backtrack3 Final yang di install di leptop Acer Travelmate 2481NWXCi. Praktek cracking password WEP/WPA sepertinya menarik minat peserta, khususnya siswa seperti yang saya singgung didepan. antusias peserta tidak hanya selesai setelah diakhirinya sesi tanya jawab, namun sampai pada saat istirahat pun masih sempat juga menanyakan bagaimana langkah detil dalam praktek cracking passkey WEP/WPA ini, he he he..semoga ga digunakan untuk hal yang ga bener aja ya..selamat belajar…

Pemateri dari KPLI joga selesai menyampaikan materi pada pukul 12:05 saat istirahat, dilanjutkan dengan ishoma, perjalanan kembali ke jogja diiringi dengan cuaca hujan + dinginnya hawa temanggung, tapi sepertinya ditemanggung askik juga, tidak kalah dengan kaliurang, terima kasih pada Panita dan Bp.Purwono Hendradi yang telah berbaik hati, bersedia antar jemput tim KPLI jogja. Alhamdulilah setelah menempuh perjalanan sekitar 2 jam, sampai PPTik sekitar pukul 14:50 dengan melewati beberapa kali kehujanan dijalan.

first, we must mount the removable disk on our pc, so we must create folder under /media/ to mounting directory

next step, we check the device, make sure the device allready connected

bety@mint:~$ dmesg

if the device allready connected and can be identified well, then we mount the removable to our directory

bety@mint:~$ sudo mount -t vfat /dev/sdb /media/flashdisk

go to flashdisk directory and kill the viruses …:P

bety@mint:~$ cd /media/flashdisk

the viruses usually using *.exe extention, so we can remove it

bety@mint:~$ sudo rm *.exe *.inf

a time we can find the “recycle folder” that can be the viruses directory, to be finished our viruses hunting, we remove the folder

bety@mint:~$ sudo rm -r recycler

and the last, we unmount our removable disk

bety@mint:~$ umount /media/flashdisk

The 2nd browser is opera, it’s old player browser, the first experience used this browser, idid’t like to used is, i have many reason to avoid this browser:

css randering is not better than mozilla, (it’s ini older version of opera as i used to)
Adobe/Macromedia flash player cannot run as well
Minimum web developer tool (like firebug and webdeloper on mozilla)
Scrapbook facilities, and save page as complete web

Since opera 9.5 version, i’m gradually love this browser, it’s faster than my previous browser, rarely error if we open many tabs on one window, the development of good css randering and flash player compatibility make me choose this browser to my default browser application on my PC, we know about the New Generation of browser, there’re developed by goole, it’s Google chrome, this’s combine the benefits from another browser to giving birth the new generation browser, today the linux version of google chrome is not currently available, maybe in 2009 we can take part to use the new browser technology. In another side, we can use the complete multimedia and social networking browser, the name is flock browser, it’s support the social networking, it’s current popularity now, i have been used flock browser for my daily internet explore and another social networking, but i do not feel comfortable with this browser, it’s about memory consumption and consideration of the use of facilities that are less appropriate.
